 Town Councilors and officers are able to provide assistance and advice to the public wishing to seek help and guidance at a local level.
The Town Council exercises a number of functions and responsibilities in its own
right which compliment those of the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
The Town Council owns and/or manages Penarth Cemetery, the Paget Rooms, Kymin, several leisure garden allotments) sites, open spaces and features as well as
the Council Offices and grounds. It organises the annual Penarth Holiday Festival and
Christmas activities as well as town twinning links. In addition the Council provides an
important representational role by presenting a local viewpoint on a wide range of
issues affecting the town.
